Q. Where are you located ?
A. CentrePoint Counseling Center is located at Innovation Pavilion – 9200 E. Mineral Ave Centennial, Colorado 80121 The cross streets are Yosemite and Dry Creek.
Q. What are your hours?
A. We are available for counseling appointments from 9 to 6 PM Monday through Friday. Some therapist may be available for early evening and Saturdays. You must call to set up an appointment.
Q. How long are your appointments?
A. Counseling sessions generally last for 50 minutes. Please allow one full hour for check in and addressing any concerns you might have.
Q. Do you have someone on staff that can write prescriptions ?
A. No, not at this time in the early stages of our practice growth. Normally a psychiatric clinical nurse specialist has authorization to write prescriptions for psychotropic medications. When available this service requires a full psychiatric evaluation, which takes about 60-90 minutes.
Q. What is your vision statement?
A. Our vision is to enhances the lives of children, youth, families and special needs individuals with disabilities, towards fulfillment of their life goals.
Q. What is your cancellation policy ?
A. We require 24 hour advance notice for cancellations. Any appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at the full session fee.
Q. Do you offer sliding scale or reduced-fee for counseling ?
A. CenterPoint Counseling Center, has limited openings for reduced fee counseling. If this is your need, mention this when you call in and we’ll discuss your personal situation. Please know that the availability for sliding scale is very limited at this time. As spots become available we do fill them so please feel free to ask.
Q. Do you accept insurance
A. CenterPoint Counseling Center is a fee-for-service behavioral health center, We do not bill commercial insurance companies for counseling, but will provide you with a statement for you to submit. This helps to protect your privacy and maintain confidentiality.
Q. What are your fees?
A. Our hourly rates are $125 to $150 for a 50 minute counseling session depending on the counselor. The initial counseling package includes a initial two hour session plus one follow-up session for $300 which is due at the initial counseling session. We accept cash, checks and major credit cards.
Q. Do you pray with clients or use the Bible in Counseling ?
A. Yes as a Christian counseling center and community services provider, We firmly believe in the power of prayer and the truths that are contained in the Holy Bible. Counseling treatment involves many aspects of an individual or families beliefs and life experiences including an examination of the foundation of a person’s life such as emotions, mental, spiritual, physical and relational health. Prayer and use of the scriptures and other valuable resources are used upon the wishes of our clients.Clients from non-Christian faiths that find comfort and hope in prayer and religious writings may request that these be an active part of their counseling and home and community based services as part of their religious faith. Non-Christian clients can utilize their preferred resources for inspiration to enhance their counseling and home and community based services.
Q. How do I know if counseling would be helpful for me or someone I love ?
A. You or your loved ones don’t have to struggle anymore. Today many children, teens, individuals and families may struggle with a variety of behavioral and emotional issues. These issues may range from mild anxiety and depression to severe and persistent mental illness. These issues could also include anger, attention deficit disorder (ADD) substance abuse and bipolar disorder. The fact, is these struggles can interfere with the way you live, think, feel and acts.

Q: Do you accept insurances?
A: We are in process of contracting to in network with various insurance companies. Please contact us for our most updated status .
Q: Will my insurance cover ABA services?
A: All plans are different. We offer insurance verification to inquire if ABA is covered under your plan.
Q: If ABA is covered under my plan, will I have any fees?
A: All plans are different, but usually families have a deductible, copayment and/or coinsurance. This is determined by your individual plan.
Q: How do we start?
A: An intake between the family and the BCBA will take place to gather pertinent information, discuss concerns, goals and programming. At the conclusion of the meeting, families will be given forms to complete. Once received, the BCBA will schedule a time for observations and to conduct an assessment. The timeframe for observation and assessment is typically 3-5 days. Once the assessment is complete, the family is provided with a treatment plan.
Q: How often will I receive a treatment update?
A: Families are debriefed after every session. Your child’s behavioral therapist will inform you on how your child is progressing towards goals, new and mastered programs and general behavior. You will receive an updated report every 6 months, which will also include your child’s progress.
Q: What curriculum do you use?
A: In addition to your child’s individualized goals and treatment plan, the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills (ABLLS) is utilized to drive programming.
Q: What skills do you work on?
A: We work on a variety of skills such as:
